Der Bär
Inspired by reports of a lone brown bear running wild in the forests of Switzerland – a bear who was eventually shot by the authorities when it got too close to human settlements – Marco Frauchiger went searching deep in the woods of his native country where the bear roamed, looking for traces of its existence and signs of other bears living there.
The project was published in an artist book. In 2015, the prototype was awarded second place at the Landskrona Photo & Breadfield Dummy Award in Sweden.
